Not sure if you're up for a question about it, but I'm in college and just got braces on. Things are going slower than expected in the first 4 months, so much so that the ortho is talking about taking "drastic measures". One of the ideas she has is my taking the unusual step of wearing a headgear. Not sure if the plastic mouthguard with the scary metal bar is the same thing, but I've love to get any thoughts you have. As an adult, it really is hard because I didn't have the braces and managed to get through life, and now, after spending all this money, they are stuck on my teeth, are socially embarrassing and they HURT, and I just want to rip them off, but I've already done the hard part of smiling after getting them on and realizing the true horror of what I'd done. Any thoughts? I really am struggling with them! - DaveTeeniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05021946448717163837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1193897518326186041.post-44155904781749148572012-01-25T23:16:48.475-05:002012-01-25T23:16:48.475-05:00"Dr. M had a heart attack.

The day before my appointment.<br /><br />I WAS SAVED!"<br /><br />LOL. <br /><br />I'm a religious retainer wearer too. Cheese, those years of torture wearing braces and headgear would be wasted if my teeth didn't stay straight.kyleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18301553874309005262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1193897518326186041.post-76279688774729094412012-01-16T10:36:41.595-05:002012-01-16T10:36:41.595-05:00ahh, scary! this just reminded me that i really ne...ahh, scary! this just reminded me that i really need to stop putting off a visit to the dentist. the chance that i might go in and walk out with an appointment to get my wisdom teeth removed has made me avoid it at all costs. i am glad you got it over with!!Alexiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01408322027690730396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1193897518326186041.post-50975246312947591672012-01-11T11:45:22.154-05:002012-01-11T11:45:22.154-05:00Wow, I hate the dentist too and thought I had a ba...Wow, I hate the dentist too and thought I had a bad experience with them but it's not a patch on yours!!
